As she wants to become her father's 'Son', she chooses this tomboyish attitude and sets in with it. Then comes Major Ram Prasad Sharma who listens to her difficulties and takes her to Miss. Chandni in order to make Sanjana a Chandni (that is, moonlight) with a luminous glow. She then becomes a better version of herself which leaves Lucky and all others in a jaw-dropping reaction.

3) Rahul Kapoor (from- Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu):

The 'Just an average' architect Rahul Kapoor is a good child of his parents. He does the things he's unwilling to do because he has to follow his parents' commands. When he loses his job he is ashamed of himself and scared to death to tell his parents about it. He is just existing in his life and is completely lost when Riana Braganza shows him the right path, the path which will lead him to happiness. Riana helps him to completely change his life and his attitude towards himself. 

4) Naina Talvar (from- Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani):

Naina Talvar, 'the nerd' and yet another character who considers herself and her life 'boring'. She falls in love with Bunny, a guy who is completely opposite to her. The reason why she falls for him is because he is a free-spirited guy and also he is the one who tells her ke, "Tum bohot cool ho Naina, bas khud pe daya karna chhod do aur khudse pyaar karna seekho" and there she is, she does fall in love with herself and then also with Bunny. Seriously, love is the most powerfuk thing because it was 'ishq ka nasha' that completely changed Naina for the good and she realized how wonderful she can be and got a never fading confidence within herself all because of Bunny. 

5) Aditya Kashyap (from- Jab We Met):

Aditya Kashyap is a business tycoon whose life falls apart all at once and he sets out like a lost person and boards a train. On the train, he meets his angel Geet who unknowingly saves him from ending his life. Not only does she save his life, but also makes his life a happy place. The Aditya who once was always worried about everything, starts finding joy in the little things and also joins in Geet's craziness. On their way to Geet's house and on their way while eloping to Manali, Aditya learns a lot of things about life from Geet which he stores within himself and returns back to his life and applies those learnt lessons to adorn his life.

Later when he learns that Meeta is Karishma's sister and how things have gone sour between Meeta and her family, he supports her and helps her through her difficult times. Girls after seeing Nikhil's gentleman attitude towards the quirky Meeta will search for someone like Nikhil to be their best friend. 5) Dostana (2008):

The movie Dostana has the story where yes, the guys do fall in love with their girl best friend but never get the girl. Sam and Kunal fall in love with their roommate and their very good friend Neha, but Neha falls in love with someone else. Sam and Kunal had resorted to a lie of being a gay couple to get an apartment where they live with Neha but this lie stops them from winning over Neha. With time, Neha, Kunal and Sam's bond gets stronger but when Neha finds out the truth, she asks Sam and Kunal to leave her house. But best friends are best friends, both Sam and Kunal do a really unexpected thing for Neha in the end so that she can get back her love. Here we have the girl having not one but two guy best friends and their story ends up in 'we're just friends' itself.

6) Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012):

Riana and Rahul get completely drunk one night and accidentally marry each other. Riana is later thrown out by her landlord and Rahul helps her by giving her shelter at his home until the annulment of their marriage. During the time they spend with each other Riana changes the inelegant Rahul Kapoor and makes him rather smart and bold. It is only because of Riana that Rahul is able to bring a complete change into his dull life and become confident and content in life. They both obviously become best friends but Rahul falls for Riana.                  The actor with an undeniable charm, bushy eyebrows, a dapper personality and alluring dimples. Yes, its the one and only- Ayushmann Khurrana! He manages to steal our hearts in an instant just with his contagious smile and laugh. The most adorable thing about him is whenever he smiles, his eyes almost get closed more than it would be in an ordinary duchenne smile and his dimples straightly make a way into my heart and my mind sings 'Oh haareya main dil haareya'. 

                    Ayushmann Khurrana never fails to amaze us with his outstanding performances. He is an actor who looks for challenges and always chooses the best scripts. Be it Vicky Arora or be it Chirag Dubey, we can't deny the awesomeness of the roles he has played with such sheer perfection. Ayushmann Khurrana is a multi-talented person and is not only an actor but also a singer, writer and an excellent talk show host as well which makes me feel like, "ek hi toh dil hai, kitni baar jeetoge?" Ayushmann is also a complete family man and the best husband and father a woman could ever ask for. He married his high-school sweetheart in November, 2008 after being together with her for 7 years in a relationship. He is a selenophile which makes me love him even more. 

                      The boy who came all the way from Chandigarh, won the roadies season 2, became a show host for several TV shows, and finally fulfilled his big dream by making a debut in Bollywood with Vicky Donor, is our Ayushmann Khurrana! But this is not the end, after several unsuccessful films like Nautanki Saala!, Bewakoofiyaan and Hawaizaada, he started his own band named 'Ayushmann Bhava' which shows us his 'never give up' attitude and his whole journey inspires us to be perseverant in achieving our goals. He has been a true blessing to the Bollywood industry and is being prominently hailed for his acting prowess through which he strongly portrays characters of men tackling social issues. But, be it real life or reel life, he is that Ayush'man'n who has kept us astonished with everything he does. Well, well, I can't stop singing songs of praise for him but I would like to conclude by saying how he is just an amazing human being.        The people who belong to the 90s know that the era of 90s was all about evolution. The telephones and landlines were evolved into cordless and later pagers, the simple antenna T.Vs became cable TVs and mainly Bombay was changed to Mumbai. So in this era of evolution how could the Bollywood industry take a back seat? The era of the 1990s was a remarkable time in Bollywood as well. The industry got its 3 Khans at this time starting with Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and then Shah Rukh Khan. Later, we had Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan making their marks in Bollywood. The movie conveys a strong message in a very simple way and that is, 'We can achieve anything we want but only through hard work and resilience'. Also, how can we forget the mushy song 'Pehla Nasha' and the little love stories in the movie which add on to the entertainment. 

3) Baazigar (1993):

The best thriller and drama movie of the 90s. The movie with an intriguing plot and King Khan in a negative role. Early in his career, Shah Rukh Khan was popular for his villainous roles and Baazigar is one such movie with his stellar performance. It is also Shilpa Shetty's debut movie. 4) Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994):

A story of a boy next door- Sunil, who is a failure in academics but loves music and loves Anna! But when an obstacle named Chris enters into the story, Sunil resorts to lies in order to win Anna. But, in the end, Sunil teaches us what is true love and what is sacrifice in love and also the courage it takes to tell the truth. 

5) Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge (1995):

Raj and Simran accidentally fall in love with each other during their trip, but Simran on the other hand has to reluctantly marry someone else. A typical love story where the father is against his daughter's love which makes it a perfect movie filled with lots of family drama. It is a completely realistic movie of that time when love marriages were a big deal in India. The movie must have been relatable for all the 90s ke aashiq and is etched in our memories forever. 

6) Hum Aapke Hai Koun (1994):

The 'Dulhan ka Devar- Prem' and 'Dulhe ki Saali- Nisha' fall in love with each other during their siblings' wedding. This is a complete family movie with drama, romance and music hi music! Hum Aapke Hai Koun has given all of us a complete and perfect playlist of songs for all kinds of situations and emotions. Prem and Nisha's love story gets a twist after Nisha's sister dies, which adds on to the drama and entertainment. 

7) Hum Hai Raahi Pyaar Ke (1993):

A romantic and comedy movie for the ones who want to watch something 'Halka Phulka' and don't crave for much drama. The gang of kids in this movie is what makes it fun and enjoyable to watch. Aamir Khan's character Rahul, is burdened with responsibilities of his spoilt nephews and a niece due to accidental death of his sister. One day, the children secretly run away to a fair and bring back a runaway bride, Vyjayanti, and give her a shelter at their home without informing Rahul. The movie gives you a complete dose of fun, romance and comedy. 

8) Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995):

The Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala starrer 'Akele Hum Akele Tum' is a story of two aspiring singers Rohit and Kiran who fall in love with each other while Kiran was getting singing lessons from Rohit. After marrying each other, they find themselves struggling for getting success in their careers as well as their marriage and eventually fall apart. The movie is based on love, marriage and career with a perfect plot. 

9) Baadshah (1999):

Another light-hearted comedy with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. If you ever try to watch this movie from any random scene, I bet you, you will not be able to understand what's going on in the movie. It is a perfect movie with utter confusion and misunderstandings. It's a story of a local private detective who gets pulled into a political conspiracy due to misunderstanding due to the same name. 

10) Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999):

A multi-starrer film helmed by Sooraj Barjatya. When the name Sooraj Barjatya comes, we know that family is going to be an evident part of the movie. Hum Saath Saath Hain is also that movie which is all about family and unity. Ram Kishan and his whole family live happily and peacefully together until and incident at his daughter's house disturbs Mamta (Ram Kishan's wife) and she is also been provoked by her friends. Mamta then decides to separate her three sons which will eventually break the whole family into pieces.

Another example of 'opposites attract', almost the same like Rahul and Pooja, where Simran is a hopeless romantic and Jay is a guy who hates the concept of love stories. While Simran thinks she has already found her Mr. Right in Raj, she bumps into Jay, the perfectly imperfect guy, and slowly and gradually falls in love with his imperfections. Their love story shows us how love can completely change a person, how it can make a sober person crazy and vice versa. Simran's love conveys us the message that it's not necessary that a completely perfect guy is your Mr. Right, sometimes, a Mr. Wrong can also be your Mr. Right. 

9) Geet and Aditya (from- Jab We Met):

A feisty girl Geet and a grave guy Aditya= one of the best love stories ever. A love story that starts with hate, goes through moments of fun, emotions, sacrifice and finally ends with love. Geet enters into Aditya's life and helps him to diminish his worries and become a better person. Whereas, Aditya almost sacrifices his love for Geet and helps her to lead a happy life and also is always there for her whenever she needs him. Now this is why everyone wants an Aditya Kashyap in their lives. 

10) Dev and Maya (from- Kabhi Alvidaa Naa Kehna):

Dev and Maya make each other believe in true love once again. Both have unsuccessful marriages, but later, inspite of being married, they find themselves in love with each other, a love they had never experienced with their partners. Geet from Jab We Met had said, "ke jab koi pyaar mein hota hai toh kuch sahi ya galat nahi hota hai". That's the exact case in Dev and Maya's love story where they forget the boundaries of their marriages and society and sink in each other's love. 

                      So, these are some of the best fictional couples from the most romantic bollywood movies. Each one these couples has showed their true mettle in their respective love stories.          Have you ever dreamt of tripping and falling into a handsome hunk's arms? Ever dreamt of serenading the girl of your dreams? The root cause of we dreaming such filmy dreams are, the fascinating and romance filled bollywood movies that constitute a part of our lives.

               I know there must be many people out there who must be having an opinion that, "Aisa reality mein kabhi nahi hota", and yes, they are right on their side. But that's the beauty of these movies which become a source of escapism for us. The movies which give us thousanda of dreams, emotions and ways to love. Be it DDLJ, Veer Zara, Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai, Dil Toh Paagal Hai, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Kal Ho Naa Ho, etc, etc ,etc, each one of these romantic movies give us new definitions of love. These are just a few examples, but, there is a whole ever-expanding list of such amazing movies. 

               Maybe, in reality, we cannot spontaneously sing a song for our loves, but these movies and those enchanting songs leave us with a desire to atleast recreate those songs and movie scenes with our partners. Aaaaaaaaand...., if two bollywood buffs fall in love with each other than the scenario is nothing less than a bollywood movie! I have seen so many couples recreate the most romantic bollywood songs on their weddings. Maybe this gives them a feeling of being in a bollywood movie. Colours everywhere, music in the background and pure love in their eyes. Falling in love with each other again and again, as the lyrics of the song playing in the background conveys, on their behalf, all those emotions which they can't express. 

               I also asked some bollywood lovers to share their typical romantic bollywood dreams and there were so many of them. The dream of wearing a saree just like Sridevi wore in Chandni and singing and grooving to 'Tere Mere Hothon Pe' song in the mountains of Switzerland. Wanting to have a lover like Raj, who will come all the way from London to Punjab, to fetch his love. Have a completely musical wedding for your sister and also maybe fall in love with your didi's devar just like Prem and Nisha in Hum Aapke Hai Koun. Meet the love of your life on an express train and have a thrilling and fun-filled journey with him/her just like Geet and Aditya.

               Alas! Dreams are dreams. But we can atleast attempt to recreate our favourite romantic bollywood movie scenes and have memories of lifetime with our partners. These movies are here to stay in our hearts forever and those songs are nothing but a perfect description of our 'Dil Ka Haal' for the person we truly love.        Agree it or not, but Bollywood movies have a great impact on our lives. It is the story, the songs and the characters that influence us in many good ways. There are many inspirational bollywood movies which contribute in transforming our lives and again, there are many characters from these movies who teach us so many things about life. When it comes to getting some valuable life lessons, these characters are the best teachers. I'm sure many of you must be looking up onto them to get some 'gyaan' about the beauty of life. Here's a list of some of my favourite zestful characters from some of the best bollywood movies. 

1) Aman (from- Kal Ho Naa Ho):

He has to be on the top of the list! He just deserves it. Kal Ho Naa Ho is one of those movies which has a permanent place in so many people's heart and Aman lives in our hearts rent free and he will stay there forever. I guess no one could have been a better choice than Shah Rukh Khan to play Aman's character. Aman is that person who takes us on an emotional roller-coaster throughout the film, right from giggles to laughs and then, there comes a point where tears just can't stop rolling down our cheeks. Aman is the one amiable character who teaches us a lot about life. The biggest lesson he gives us is to be grateful for whatever we have and learn to live life and love life, because, we never know if there's a tomorrow. His dialogue, "suno, jiyo, khush raho, muskurao, kya pata, kal ho naa ho" says it all. I think there's no need to elaborate his teachings further. 

2) Rancho (from- 3 Idiots):

Rancho- the mischievous, exuberant and adorable boy who sees life from a different perspective. He is that one guy who taught us, "Excellence ka peecha karo, success jhak maar ke tumhare peeche aayegi." He gives us so many valuable lessons of life which include: (i) Kaamyab hone ke liye nahi, kaabil hone ke liye padho, (ii) Future se itna daroge toh kya khaak jiyoge, (iii) All Is Well. Indeed, we all need a Baba Ranchoddas in our lives for learning to live life to the fullest and stop worrying about the unnecessary things. 

3) Geet (from- Jab We Met):

The 'Bhatinda Ki Sikhni- Geet', is a feisty girl. The one who catches a running train, talks non-stop, speaks her heart out and is also in love with life and herself. Her dialogue, "Main apni favourite hoon" has become each and everyone's dialogue these days because, she is the one who encouraged us to love ourselves. She teaches us not to overthink about each and every situation and always be happy in life. To be honest, whenever there is a situation in my life which is actually not going to matter much to me and whenever I find myself overthinking in such situations, I recall Geet's dialogue from the scene where she and Aditya hide on the terrace of her house to save themselves from her family, where she tells Aditya, "yeh jo waqt hai na yahaan, jo hum kaat rahe hai, bohot acha time hai, dekhna, aage chalkar hum isse yaad karenge aur hasenge" and I myself can't believe that it has been true in so many situations in my life which never needed that overthinking. 

4) Rianna (from- Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu):

Another beautiful character portrayed by Kareena Kapoor Khan which somewhat resembles Geet. Rianna, a 26 years old girl, who wanted to be a ballet dancer. But then, life had some different plans for her due to which she ended up being a hairstylist. Yet, she never hates life and surely knows how the make the most of every living moment. She then meets Rahul- a dull and young architect whose life is transformed completely after Rianna's entry into his life. Rianna changes his mentality, his personality and yes, also his hairstyle. Directly or indirectly, the lessons which she gives to Rahul have a lasting impact on us as well. She says it's ok to be average and tells how being average is nothing to worry about and also the one beauty of average people, "ke vo kuch bhi kam ya zyaada nahi karte, aur yeh quality bohot kam logo mein hoti hai."
