Bollywood movies have shown us many characters that had low self-esteem, a boring look and a life full of hardships. But what is a movie without a twist? Half way through the movie and these boring and dull characters get a much needed glow up. In the beginning, they are lonely and troubled, but then comes an angel into their lives whom they needed the most. Well, in real life we can have our glow up on our own but when someone else comes and shows us what we are truly capable of, that's the moment when we see ourselves through someone else's eyes and realize what wonders we can do. The same happens with these characters, an unknown person enters their lives and fills them up with self-love and self-confidence that they were lacking all this time. These characters then get introduced to a wondrous side of their own which they were hiding from themselves for one reason or another. Here's a list of the Bollywood movie characters that got a glow up with the help of their angels, while we can look at them and get inspired to built self-confidence in ourselves as they did.
1) Naina (from- Kal Ho Naa Ho):
The troubled and boring Naina Kapoor whose life is a complete mess gets introduced to her new neighbor Aman Mathur who then introduces her to the beauty of life and the beauty within herself. We can see Naina's personality transform because of love, in the song, 'Kuch Toh Hua Hai' where she uses lens instead of the boring glasses, smiles instead of sulking and sees her life and herself with a new perspective. All thanks to Aman Mathur for making her familiar with the beauty of life and taking her away from her darkness.
2) Sanjana (from- Main Hoon Na):
The 'tomboy' Sanjana who is hopelessly in love with her friend 'Lucky' is a tomboy because she has her own reason. As she wants to become her father's 'Son', she chooses this tomboyish attitude and sets in with it. Then comes Major Ram Prasad Sharma who listens to her difficulties and takes her to Miss. Chandni in order to make Sanjana a Chandni (that is, moonlight) with a luminous glow. She then becomes a better version of herself which leaves Lucky and all others in a jaw-dropping reaction.
3) Rahul Kapoor (from- Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu):
The 'Just an average' architect Rahul Kapoor is a good child of his parents. He does the things he's unwilling to do because he has to follow his parents' commands. When he loses his job he is ashamed of himself and scared to death to tell his parents about it. He is just existing in his life and is completely lost when Riana Braganza shows him the right path, the path which will lead him to happiness. Riana helps him to completely change his life and his attitude towards himself.
4) Naina Talvar (from- Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani):
Naina Talvar, 'the nerd' and yet another character who considers herself and her life 'boring'. She falls in love with Bunny, a guy who is completely opposite to her. The reason why she falls for him is because he is a free-spirited guy and also he is the one who tells her ke, "Tum bohot cool ho Naina, bas khud pe daya karna chhod do aur khudse pyaar karna seekho" and there she is, she does fall in love with herself and then also with Bunny. Seriously, love is the most powerfuk thing because it was 'ishq ka nasha' that completely changed Naina for the good and she realized how wonderful she can be and got a never fading confidence within herself all because of Bunny.
5) Aditya Kashyap (from- Jab We Met):
Aditya Kashyap is a business tycoon whose life falls apart all at once and he sets out like a lost person and boards a train. On the train, he meets his angel Geet who unknowingly saves him from ending his life. Not only does she save his life, but also makes his life a happy place. The Aditya who once was always worried about everything, starts finding joy in the little things and also joins in Geet's craziness. On their way to Geet's house and on their way while eloping to Manali, Aditya learns a lot of things about life from Geet which he stores within himself and returns back to his life and applies those learnt lessons to adorn his life.
So, these were some of the Bollywood movie characters that made us believe that we too can go from low confidence to most confident, from dull and boring to happy and bubbly and from sulky to a happily smiling person. Sometimes, all we need is that one person in life or just we ourselves can be our that one person who will change us for the good or else then we have these characters whom we can look up onto in order to get inspired for a glow up.
