Songs, songs, songs! Songs are one such thing where music and lyrics get combined and make us feel different emotions. You must be listening to so many Bollywood songs on a regular basis. There are different songs for different emotions but then, there are some songs which get a different version in order to express a different emotion. The music and lyrics are modified a little to make a different song that will convey feelings differently from the original one. The filmmakers add this song in the movie or the movie album as well, but we don't pay much attention to those songs sometimes. The reason is maybe because they are shorter in duration but I promise you these songs will spread magic in those 2-3 minutes and I am in love with those reprised version of movie songs. If you have never properly listened any of these songs, then you should definitely try it out. I have compiled below a list of the reprised versions of Bollywood songs. Take a look below.
1) Are re are yeh kya hua (Part 2) (from- Dil Toh Paagal Hai):
You must have surely heard the song 'Are re are' which is a lively and energetic love song. But here comes the part 2 of this song. It has a refreshing start with the signature whistle tune of the movie. This song is a bit serious love song totally opposite from the original one which is rather filled with fun and frolic.
2) Duniya mein kitni hai nafratein (from- Mohabbatein):
This song has the music similar to the song 'Humko Hami Se Chura Lo', but the lyrics are totally different. The song 'Humko Hami Se Chura Lo' is a completely romantic song where as this song is one with powerful lyrics which conveys that love has no limits. When it's early 2000's wali Yashraj Film then there are no questions or doubts about the music, it has to be always awesome.
3) Tujhme rab dikhta hai (part 2) (from- Rab ne bana di jodi):
Now, this song is hardly 2 minutes long but we have the lyrics, the music and Shreya Ghoshal making it impactful. This song can also be counted as the female version of the song 'Tujhme rab dikhta hai' which is a romance filled song. This part is a bit sad and romantic type of mixed song. This song plays in the movie after Taani realizes that she loves her husband Surinder.
4) Kal Ho Naa Ho (sad) (from- Kal ho naa ho):
This whole movie makes us cry and then comes this song in the end which adds on to the sadness. In this song, the two people, Naina and Aman, who know that they love each other, but can't be together are confronting each otger after Naina learns about the sad and tragic truth of Aman's life. The lyrics are so apt for the situation, perfectly written with music that will take you to another world.
5) Bin Tere (Reprise version) (from- I hate luv storys):
The original 'Bin Tere' has a lot more music but this song doesn't, which makes the song more sad to listen to. This version has completely different lyrics and it truly signifies heartbreak. Sadder than the original one, this song will make you miss your special person if they are no longer a part of your life.
6) Chalte Chalte (part 2) (from- Mohabbatein):
This is the female version of the song 'Chalte Chalte' which is the ultimate 'realization of love' song. We females also need a relatable song, a special female version for our realization of love, which we can hum and sing when we are in love.
7) Hum Tumhaare Hai Sanam (sad) (from- Hum Tumhaare Hai Sanam):
The original 'Hum Tumhaare Hai Sanam' is a complete love song and is sung by Udit Narayan and Anuradha Paudwal. In an instant, with change in the lyrics and music and with Sonu Nigam's much painful voice, the whole emotions of thw song are changed from love to heartbreak. Just a two minute song which conveys a lot of painful emotions.
8) Jaane Dil Mein (sad) (from- Mujhse Dosti Karoge):
Another love song turned into a sad song for the plot. This is the song of 'judaai' of two lovers who were once deeply in love and still are but unfortunately can't be together. This part 2 of Jaane dil mein is sung by Sonu Nigam and Lata Mangeshkar.
9) Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (sad) (from- Kuch Kuch Hota Hai):
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is one of the best romantic songs we have heard. But the sad version of this song is also not less dramatic. The scene where Rahul and Anjali reunite after years will bring sad emotions in your heart and this song adds on to the sadness. No doubt Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's expressions and body language is also what makes the song more realistic.
10) Mujhse Hui Bas Yeh Khata (from- Ishq Vishk):
Even if the title is different, this song is a sad version of the song 'Aisa kyu hota hai' which is yet another 'love realization' song. This song has the same tune of Aisa kyu hota hai but entirely different emotions and lyrics.
Well, so these were some of the reprised versions of some of our favourite Bollywood songs. I guess you must have listened to some of them but if you have not yet listened to these, then tune into these songs most of which will make for a perfectly sad playlist.
